Why Nakano for Pokemon Cards?
Nakano (中野) is famous for Nakano Broadway, a multi-story shopping complex that's become a pilgrimage site for collectors of all kinds. While smaller than Akihabara, Nakano Broadway packs an incredible density of card shops into its narrow corridors, with many specializing in vintage and rare cards.
The complex is particularly known for its vintage card selection and competitive pricing. Serious collectors often prefer Nakano over Akihabara for finding older cards and unique items at fair prices. The intimate shop-in-shop format means you can browse dozens of dealers in a single building.
Getting to Nakano
- JR Chuo Line (Rapid) - Nakano Station (North exit). Direct from Shinjuku (5 min) and Tokyo Station (20 min).
- Tokyo Metro Tozai Line - Nakano Station. Direct from Nihonbashi and Otemachi.
